Thanks to GeekUnlocked for the photo!
Attending PAX East this year had been really tentative for us. Sheila had been for sure planning to attend, at least for Saturday. But Sylar had been contemplating buying plane tickets.
About a week beforehand we got plane tickets, and a day before some friends got us weekend passes! Shout out to Ash, Allegra and Beth (Siren's Call Cosplay) for that! Thank you!!

Sheila had two days to finish a barely started Corvo Attano costume to match her Jessamine for PAX weekend. She spent all of Thursday and late into Friday night working on him. (Full write up on the process coming soon!)
Bethesda took this photo of us! Thanks Bethesda!
We always enjoy Gaming conventions because the atmosphere is way more industry. Which means we get to be fans for once, and enjoy the new game demos, announcements and panels. (Unlike anime cons, where we hang out in costume all day.)
We literally watched the Elder Scrolls Online trailer like 20 times on their big screen!!
Saturday was pretty much just us scoping out the amazing show floor and meeting up with friends!
We got to meet up with Nikki Cosplay, Mad Adam, Olivia Cosplay, Lightpriestess, notGodzilla, visiblespectre, ongaku, elliria, GingerAnn, Punished Props, Amie Lynn, TurnOnRed and many more amazing cosplayer's and friends! Go check them all out! And forgive us if we forgot someone!
We had a great time running about the con and spending some quality time chatting with our fellow cosplay comrades. It's always great to see the East coasters!

We also had the absolute pleasure of two photoshoots! Our first was with Chou-Wa Photography, author of Breaking all the Rules. It was a pleasure to meet her and get to be behind her camera. Look out for more collabs with Chou-Wa soon! Our second shoot was with Soulfire Photography. A good and long time friend! Soulfire has shot Sheila's Hawke cosplay in the past -- and our Loki and Sigyn costumes! So it felt amazing (and fun) to shoot with her once again! |
Us with notGodzilla at the Bioware Base!
We hung out at the Bioware base for some time, running into more friends and followers. And watched the Bioware cosplay contest. Congrats to the winners! And the newlyweds, Lily and Jowan! Glad you liked the cosplay wig tutorial!
We checked out a few more stops, including Arkane Studio's panel on Cinematic Narrative. Sheila also got to meet Michael from RoosterTeeth's Achievement Hunters!

Sunday was a lazy shopping day for us!
Sheila scored this great shirt at Bethesda! (BIG THANKS GUYS!) And we scoured the Show hall for any freebies and last minute demos.
Big thanks to TurnOnRed for the beautiful Journey charms!!
As the con winded down we touched base with all our good friends and said goodbye. This may be our last East Coast con for some time, since Sheila is graduating from RISD this year and moving west with Sylar!
We look forward to hopefully attending another PAX! Maybe PAX Prime? Dragoncon? NYCC? It's too soon to tell!
